Nine out of the ten African countries have qualified for the Round of 32 stage at the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament.
They are DR Congo, South Africa, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Morocco, and Algeria.
Only Tunisia was eliminated from the competition after finishing bottom in Group F with zero points.
DAILY POST reports that Algeria was the latest African team to qualify for the World Cup Round of 16.
This follows their 3-3 draw against Austria in the early hours of today.
They progressed to the last-32 as one of the best third-place teams after finishing with four points from three matches.
Algeria finished in third position in Group J behind Argentina and Austria.
