Sabri Lamouchi has been sacked as the head coach of Tunisia’s national team.
He becomes the first manager to lose his job at the ongoing 2026 World Cup.
Lamouchi was dismissed days after the Carthage Eagles were thrashed 5-1 by Sweden in their opening fixture.
He would be replaced by Mondher Kebaier.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Tunisia head coach Sabri Lamouchi has been sacked after defeat on World Cup opening game against Sweden.
“Plans are under way to appoint Mondher Kebaier as the new national team coach on an interim basis, Federation confirm.”
