A shocking revelation has sent fear across the Niger Delta as Asari Dokubo opens up on a deadly chapter many Nigerians may have forgotten or never fully understood.
In a video shared online, the traditional ruler and activist spoke about the terrifying level of violence that once rocked the Emuoha–Kalabari Road, describing it as a period filled with bloodshed, fear, and total breakdown of security.
According to Dokubo, the situation back then was beyond ordinary crime. He revealed that four policemen were brutally killed, while soldiers also lost their lives, with their weapons reportedly seized by attackers.
These were not just isolated incidents — they created an atmosphere of fear that made daily life almost impossible.
Residents and commuters who depended on the road for business and movement were left stranded. Trade slowed down, people avoided travel, and entire communities lived in constant anxiety.
Dokubo explained that the crisis showed just how dangerous it can be when key routes fall into the hands of violent groups. He stressed that without proper security, development and peace in the region remain at serious risk.
He also highlighted the role of community voices, saying local leaders must work closely with authorities to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
