President Bola Tinubu has declared that he knew that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike’s track record to deliver on his assignment.
Tinubu declared that Wike has not disappointed in his responsibilities of project delivery.
He made the declaration during the official commissioning of collector road CN2 (Emmanuel Ogala Boulevard) From Arterial Road N16 (Yemi Osinbajo Way) To Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way) including ILS.5 within Katampe District to mark his third year in office.
The president was represented at the commissioning by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
He said: “When I gave him the responsibility as Minister of FCT, I knew his track records and Wike, you have not disappointed Nigerians.
“From roads to water projects to judicial quarters, you work day and night, you don’t give excuses, you give results. The people of the FCT call you Mr project for a reason, well done.”
The president also noted that his administration inherited a gloomy economy upon assumption of office.
“Indeed this road is a testimony to the renewed Hope Agenda, Nigeria is working again. The economy we met was gloomy but today you see transformation.
“A road like CN2 is more than concrete, it’s hope, it tells every Nigerian that government can deliver, it tells our youths that this country belongs to them,” he added.
